What this page is for

Every tracked question is actually asked to each AI engine. This page shows, prompt by prompt: coverage, whether each engine mentioned you, your rank, whether you were cited, how strongly you were recommended, and whether AI mistook your brand for a different business. You can generate a strategy article straight from a gap, check what AI gets wrong about your brand, and measure whether a change worked.

When to use it

  • After adding prompts, to see the first results.
  • Once a week, to spot prompts that need attention.
  • To give a prompt a higher scan frequency, or start a strategy article from here.
  • After changing your site or content, to set up a re-test.

The page

Header: the title Prompt Tracking. On the right: the scan snapshot picker (when there are several scans; pick an older snapshot, then Back to latest), Recycle bin (deleted prompts can be restored for 30 days), Add Prompt and the Auto-scan toggle (paid plans; each prompt refreshes on its own frequency).

Tabs: Tracked, Achievements, Retests, Outreach, AI searches and Brand searches.

Tracked

Banners can appear above the table: on the free plan only part of the prompts is scanned (Upgrade to scan all →); prompt language doesn’t match its market (Move to matching market); Last check was interrupted (Resume continues from where it stopped, Dismiss clears it); new prompts are syncing.

Toolbar: Coverage (All / Needs / Covered / Uncovered / Intercepted / Context issue), Type (Brand / Competitor / City / General), Stage (Awareness / Consideration / Decision), Market (with several markets), Autopilot on / off, the main button Generate strategy article, and search. Translate all translates prompts and answers into the language you choose; Show originals switches back. Selecting rows turns the toolbar into the bulk bar: Delete {n} selected, Star prompt, Generate strategy article, Move to market and Fix {n} brand mismatches.

Columns: prompt (star, AI recommendation, suggested article type, Generated {n}×, context and alert badges), Coverage, platforms (one icon per engine: grey means not mentioned, top 3 shows #N, 📎 means cited), time checked, the Evidence button and the ⋯ menu (Move to top / Move up / Move down / Delete).

👆 Click Evidence to read each engine’s raw answer

The evidence drawer

Click Evidence to open it. At the top, set the prompt’s Scan frequency (Daily / Weekly / Monthly) or click Scan now. Then coverage, average rank, sentiment and the suggested content type, followed by each engine’s raw answer:

  • Whether you appear, your position and whether you were cited.
  • The recommendation level: Top pick, Recommended, Listed option or Mentioned only, with the reason.
  • The data source: captured from the AI app itself (what users see) or the model API, and the model.
  • Searches the AI ran before answering, when the engine searched the web.
  • Competitors mentioned and Sources.
  • Earlier answers: previous answers to the same prompt. If a judgment is wrong (the brand IS or is NOT mentioned, or the recommendation level should be different), use Submit correction; the correction is kept beside the answer and the answer itself is not changed.

When AI has placed your brand in the wrong industry, a card explains it, with options to write a clarification article or hand it to Autopilot.

Achievements

Titled Optimization Wins, for the past N days: Coverage crossed 50%, Beat competitor intercept, New citations, Article worked, First coverage, Rank improved. Filter Gains, Losses or All. Each win shows why it moved (an engine started mentioning you, an article was published, a fix task was added), how many scans it has Held, a Stable badge after 3 or more scans in a row, and the AI visits that followed. View evidence compares before and after. Create report makes a shareable results report; Get these wins by email every week sends a Monday digest.

Retests

Retests shows whether a change to your site or content made AI mention you more often. Click + New re-test, describe What changed, optionally add the Page URL (the page is saved before and after), set the Change date and the market. Target prompts are picked for you from your description and can be edited; control prompts (unrelated to the change, same market) sit under Advanced (optional) and are usually fine as is. Click Start re-test.

It measures a 14-day baseline and a 14-day observation, each prompt 3 times per engine. The result is Improved, No clear change or Inconclusive, with the before and after ranges for target and control prompts, a breakdown By engine, and the page snapshots side by side. Repair tasks are re-measured automatically on their re-test date.

Outreach

Media and sites that AI cites, collected from your answers and grouped by priority. Track each one’s outreach status, Compose pitch for a draft, or Compose pitches for several at once.

AI searches

Before answering, AI engines run their own web searches and cite pages from what they find. This tab lists the searches AI ran for your prompts and the sites it cited after each, with AI searches, Name your brand, Cited you after and Needs action. Searches after which you are never cited are where to act; you can generate a strategy article from them.

Brand searches

What AI answers get wrong when people search for your brand itself.

  • Brand facts AI gets wrong (last 30 days), by severity High (a support phone number or web address that isn’t yours), Medium (a price that matches none of yours, a competitor named in a brand search) and Low (you are not mentioned). See answer opens the answer.
  • Brand-defense prompts: Generate adds up to 8 (Navigation, Reputation, Transaction, Support; in the main market’s language). They are scanned and use credits like any prompt; adding them needs enough credits for their first check.
  • Official facts: your official site and login domains, support phone numbers, support email and prices. The phone, address and price checks compare against these.
  • Brand attributes: 3–8 things you want to be known for, and how often answers that name you mention each; Objections in answers lists objections such as Too expensive, Hard to use or Not available in a market.

High-severity issues also appear in This week’s tasks on the Workspace and as a project alert.

Common tasks

Re-check one prompt now

Open its Evidence → Scan now. New prompts are queued automatically; you don’t need to start them.

Turn on regular re-scans

  1. Turn on Auto-scan in the header (paid plans).
  2. For important prompts, set Scan frequency to Daily in the evidence drawer; Daily has a per-plan limit.

Generate an article from a gap

  1. Select 3 to 15 prompts from the same market and the same kind of question.
  2. Click Generate strategy article in the bulk bar; the dialog suggests a title, an angle and the expected coverage gain.
  3. Click Generate article. The article goes to Content for review.

While Autopilot is on, this button is unavailable: use one or the other, so the same prompts aren’t written twice.

Fix "AI thinks I’m a different company"

Set Coverage to Context issue; the bulk bar shows Fix {n} brand mismatches, which takes you to Answer Assets to write one clarification article covering all of them.

Check whether a change worked

Retests → + New re-test, describe the change, keep the suggested prompts, Start re-test. Come back after the observation window for the result.

Common questions

Why is there no "check all" button? Checking is automatic: new prompts are queued, then Auto-scan or each prompt’s frequency takes over. To re-check one prompt now, use Scan now in the evidence drawer.

Coverage keeps showing "Checking…". The queue runs in order and can take a few minutes with many prompts. Closing the page doesn’t stop it.

An engine is locked. Your plan doesn’t include it; higher plans or add-ons unlock more engines.

What does "Last check was interrupted" mean? The page was closed during a check. Resume continues from the prompt where it stopped; completed prompts are not charged again.

A re-test says Inconclusive. There were too few answers, too many failed checks, or the control prompts moved the same way at the same time.

If something goes wrong

  • A check timed out: the engine was busy. Wait a minute and click Scan now again.
  • Out of credits: top up when the dialog asks, then continue.
  • Daily scan limit reached: set other prompts to Weekly / Monthly, or upgrade.
  • Deleted a prompt by mistake: Recycle bin in the header restores it within 30 days.
