What this page is for

The master settings for all AI writing: what your business is, who you write for, the tone, the words to avoid, and the call to action at the end. They are set per project, once, and every generation path uses them. Multi-agent generation won’t start until Business info is filled in.

When to use it

  • Before generating your first article (required).
  • When articles sound off, read like marketing copy, or mention the brand too often.
  • When your positioning or target customer changes.

The page

The title is Content Production Rules, with the current project underneath. There are two cards, both saved automatically: pause after typing and the top right shows Saving… → Saved. There is no save button.

Global Settings

  • Team instructions (style, banned words): for example "no exclamation marks; avoid hype; stay neutral". Up to 4,000 characters.
  • Business info (positioning, target audience): required. What you do, who you sell to, your key strengths, pricing. When it is empty, the box turns red with "Required — multi-agent generation won't start without this."
  • Call To Action (CTA): text + link, placed at the End of article or Inline. If both are empty, nothing is added.

Per-Agent Custom Instructions

  • Quick presets: Professional, Friendly and Academic. Applying a preset replaces every agent’s current instructions (you confirm first); it doesn’t change which agents are on, and doesn’t touch Business info or Team instructions. You can edit the preset text afterwards.
  • Five agents, each with Customize ▼ to write instructions (up to 4,000 characters): Researcher (searches competitor articles and public sources), Strategist (designs the outline; can be Enabled or Off), Writer (writes the body from the outline), SEO Optimizer (schema, internal links, keyword coverage; can be Enabled or Off) and Headline Expert (3 candidate titles and a meta description). An agent that is off can’t be edited.

Common tasks

First setup (5 minutes)

  1. Write Business info: one line of positioning + target customer + three key strengths + pricing.
  2. Add 3 to 5 hard rules under Team instructions.
  3. Fill in the CTA text and link, and choose End of article.
  4. Apply a preset, then fine-tune individual agents if needed.

Mention the brand less

Under Team instructions, write "mention the brand at most 3 times in the body, and not in the first two paragraphs", and add the same instruction to the Writer.

Common questions

Why does generation say "Business info is missing"? Business info is empty. Fill in business info in that dialog brings you here.

A preset conflicts with my own instructions. Applying a preset replaces each agent’s instruction text but never Business info or Team instructions. To keep your own agent instructions, copy them before applying a preset.

My change didn’t take effect. Check that the top right shows Saved. If it shows Save failed, refresh and enter it again. Rules are saved per project, so make sure the project shown at the top is the one you meant to change.

If something goes wrong

  • No project selected: switch to a project at the top and come back.
  • Articles still read like marketing copy: put the banned words in Team instructions and give the Writer an instruction such as "remove all exaggerated adjectives".
