Understanding Your Citadex Dashboard and Workspace

A complete guide to navigating Citadex: the TopBar, the four-section sidebar (Overview / Monitor / Content / More Tools), the Workspace tabs, and how to switch between projects, languages, and brand markets.

Navigating the Citadex Dashboard

Once you've created your first project, you'll spend most of your time in the Workspace — your operational command center for that project. This guide covers the navigation layout you'll see in every screen.

The TopBar

Across the top of every page:

Project selector (left of centre) — Switch between projects you've created. Clicking it shows a dropdown of all projects in your workspace; the entire UI re-renders to reflect the selected project's data.

Language switcher (top-right area) — Citadex supports 9 UI languages (English, 简体中文, 日本語, 한국어, Español, Français, Deutsch, Português, العربية). This affects the platform interface only — your AI output language is set separately, per project.

Notification bell (top-right) — Shows in-app notifications: scan completions, alert escalations, content draft ready, billing events. Click for the full notification feed.

Account menu (top-right) — Settings, Integrations, Billing, Team, Workspace, Logout.

The Sidebar Navigation

The left sidebar is organised into four sections:

Overview

  • Workspace — Your project's command center (Overview / Alerts / Rankings / Insights tabs)

Monitor

  • Visibility — Real-time AI mention tracking across every supported AI platform
  • Prompt Tracking — Per-prompt position tracking in AI recommendation lists, with the alert badges (Competitor Intercept / Low Visibility) on each row
  • Alert Center — Full alert feed: reputation events, anomalies, opportunities
  • AI Insights Feed — Sentiment, themes, and strategic intelligence pulled from your scan data

Content

  • Prompt Library — Manage tracked prompts: discover new ones, organise by theme, run quick tests
  • Content Drafts — Articles generated by Citadex, awaiting your review / approval / publish
  • AI Content Studio — Single-URL content fix and on-page AEO improvement

More Tools

  • Brand Knowledge Base — RAG layer that grounds your generated content in real brand facts (pricing, About, product pages, etc.)
  • Live AEO Audit — Multi-model deep diagnostic report on a single URL
  • Site Health — Page-level AEO scan across your project's site
  • Content Scoring — Single-URL AI-readiness audit

The Workspace: Your Daily Operating View

The Workspace shows one project at a time, organised into four tabs:

Overview Tab — Project health at a glance: AEO Score ring, KPIs (URLs scanned, Critical issues, Warning issues), Site Pages Health Map, and the Fix Queue prioritised by impact.

Alerts Tab — Recent reputation events and visibility anomalies with severity indicators and direct links to the full Alert Center.

Rankings Tab — Per-prompt performance summary: AI position per platform with trend arrows and coverage rate.

Insights Tab — AI Insights Feed highlights: top sentiment signals, source attributions, and strategic recommendations from your latest visibility data.

Switching Between Projects

Use the project selector in the TopBar to switch. The entire Workspace, sidebar context, and current page all reload to reflect the selected project. Knowledge Base, prompt library, drafts, and competitors are all scoped per-project.

Switching Between Markets (Multi-Market Brands)

If you're tracking the same brand across multiple geographic markets (e.g., Citadex US + Citadex Japan), each market has its own set of tracked prompts, scans, and visibility data, but shares the underlying Knowledge Base and content drafts.

Manage markets via More Tools → Markets. You can add a new market in one click; Citadex localises the prompt set automatically (translating tracked prompts to the target language, applying market-specific search behaviours).

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why is my Workspace showing "Stale"?

No scan has been run for this project in over 7 days. Click Run Scan in the project header.

Q: What does the "Live" badge mean?

Your project has been scanned within the last 7 days; data is current.

Q: Can I have multiple projects open at once?

The Workspace shows one project at a time. To view another, switch via the TopBar selector. (Open in a second browser tab if you genuinely need side-by-side.)

Q: Where do I switch UI language?

Top-right of the TopBar, next to the notification bell. Choice persists across sessions for your account. AI output language is set per-project, separately, in project settings.

Q: I don't see the Brand Knowledge Base in my sidebar.

It's under More Tools (scroll the sidebar). If it's still missing, your workspace may not yet have the feature enabled — contact support, we roll it out progressively.

Q: Where is the help center accessible from inside the app?

Account menu (top-right) → Help Center, or directly at /help.
