AI Assistant & API4 min read

What it does

Weekly is an AI Assistant setting. When it is on, every Monday at the hour you choose the assistant prepares This week’s plan for the current project. It appears as a conversation in the AI Assistant, with a bell notification and, if you like, an email. When you sign in, you see what happened last week and what to do first.

It only reads data and prepares things. It never spends credits, publishes or changes settings on its own; credit-using suggestions wait in a card for your confirmation.

Turning it on

  1. 1

    Open the settings

Click AI Assistant in the bottom-right corner, then the calendar icon at the top of the panel (tooltip Weekly). The first time you open an empty chat you may also see "Want your week prepared every Monday?"; Set it up opens the same settings.

  2. 2

    Switch it on

Turn on Prepare my week automatically. The line below reads Project: your project · every Monday at followed by an hour picker (your time zone). Settings are saved per project.

  3. 3

    Choose what to include

Turn each item on or off: Last week’s recap, Change lists for this week’s pages, Retest results, Recommended actions. For email: Also email me when it’s ready (you always get a bell notification).

  4. 4

    Save

    Click Save. You see Saved.

  5. 5

    Want one now?

Click Prepare one now. About a minute later the plan opens. You can do this once a day.

Each item is tagged No credits or Uses credits. On the Free plan the other items show Paid plans and only the recap is available. Viewers in a workspace cannot turn this on.

What the plan contains

The plan is a conversation titled This week’s plan · date, in this order:

  1. Last week: how many times AI answers mentioned you (versus the week before), share of voice, prompts that started or stopped mentioning you, with See achievements.
  2. Do first this week: up to 3 top tasks from the opportunity engine, each with See evidence. Types: Recommended less, Citations lost, Competitor ahead, Prompt gap, Wrong brand info. They are ranked by the size of the change × the value of the buying stage, and weighted by AI revenue per topic when Revenue Attribution is connected. When an AI engine changed platform-wide in the same period, that task counts less and says so.
  3. Pages most worth fixing this week: up to 3 pages from the AI traffic optimization plan with the reason ("AI reads it often but doesn’t cite it" or "Cited, but brings no visits"), change lists made in advance; click Open change list. Without AI traffic data you see Connect AI traffic.
  4. Retest results: whether changed pages started getting mentioned by AI. Changes usually take 1–2 weeks to show.
  5. Recommended actions card, only when Recommended actions is on.

It ends with "Anything unclear? Ask me below." Keep asking in the same conversation.

With Recommended actions on, the plan ends with a Confirm these actions card. It can include:

  • re-checking prompts that stopped mentioning you;
  • drafting a rewrite of a short page;
  • an article draft for prompts where competitors are named and you are not.

Tick what you want and click Confirm; only then does anything run, using credits. If you do nothing, nothing happens. The card is valid until next Monday; after that it reads "This card expired. Ask the AI Assistant again." Drafts wait in Content for review and are never published automatically.

Where it arrives

  • Bell: "This week’s plan is ready". Clicking it opens the conversation.
  • AI Assistant: a red dot on the button and the History icon; the plan is in History.
  • Email (if Also email me when it’s ready is on), with an Open in the AI Assistant button.

FAQ

How is this different from Autopilot? Autopilot is a separate feature that writes articles on a schedule. Weekly only prepares a plan; anything that uses credits waits for you.

Why is "Pages most worth fixing this week" empty? Connect AI traffic first, so Citadex knows which pages AI reads. Pages are then picked every week.

Does the plan follow me when I switch projects? No. Weekly is set per project; turn it on for each one.
