Knowledge Graph — How AI Models Represent Your Brand as an Entity
The Knowledge Graph module analyzes how AI models understand your brand as a semantic entity. Learn to read your entity profile, fix entity gaps, and strengthen your brand's knowledge representation.
Knowledge Graph: Your Brand as a Semantic Entity
The Knowledge Graph module visualizes how AI models and structured data systems represent your brand — not just as a website, but as a semantic entity with properties, relationships, and associations.
What Is a Knowledge Graph?
A knowledge graph is a structured representation of entities and their relationships. Google's Knowledge Graph, Wikipedia's Wikidata, and the internal representations inside AI models all work on similar principles.
For your brand, the knowledge graph representation includes:
- What you are (organization type, industry, category)
- What you do (products, services, capabilities)
- Who's involved (founders, executives, key people)
- Where you operate (locations, markets served)
- How you relate to other entities (parent companies, partnerships, competitors)
Data Sources
Citadex builds your Knowledge Graph view from three sources:
1. Your website's structured data — JSON-LD schema from your scanned pages. The most controllable source.
2. Wikipedia / Wikidata — If a Wikipedia page exists for your brand, its structured properties are extracted. Wikipedia is one of the highest-weight sources in AI training data.
3. News and media mentions — Recent news coverage that helps establish your brand's current narrative and associations.
Improving Your Knowledge Graph
High-priority actions:
- Add complete Organization schema with a
sameAsarray including all official profiles (LinkedIn, CrunchBase, Wikipedia, etc.) - Create or improve your Wikipedia page or Wikidata entry
- Ensure your brand name, description, and categories are consistent across all platforms
Medium-priority actions:
- Add Person schema for key executives and founders
- Build relationships between your brand entity and the industry entities you operate in
- Publish authoritative content that establishes your brand's associations with key topics
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why does Knowledge Graph completeness matter?
AI models prefer brands with rich, consistent entity representations. A brand with a Wikipedia entry, complete Organization schema, and SameAs links to authoritative profiles will be significantly better understood and more reliably cited than a brand whose identity is fragmented across inconsistent sources.
