Notifications — The Bell, Email Preferences, Project Alerts and Slack

The bell

The bell in the top bar shows a red number when you have unread notices (9+ above nine). Click it to open the notifications panel: Latest and Earlier notices, Mark all read, click a notice to open the related page, and View all notifications at the bottom for Settings → In-App Notifications, where you can filter by type or show unread only.

The bell shows: scan complete, prompts intercepted by competitors, prompt visibility dropped, AI gave wrong brand information, agent readiness drops, AI traffic issues, achievements, articles ready for review, the AI Assistant's weekly plan, and system notices such as low credits or plan changes. Project alerts always reach the bell, whatever your email settings.

Email preferences (account level)

Project content notifications

Per project: a recipient address (defaults to your login email), "pending publish" (email when new content awaits review) and "publish complete" (email after distribution).

Project alert notifications

Set per project; each alert can go to email and/or Slack:

Frequency: Instant, Daily digest, Weekly digest. Quiet hours suppress every alert on every channel between two times. For Slack, paste an incoming-webhook URL; the page has a how-to link.

Alert thresholds (same page): drop alerts (dropped out, rank decline, AI traffic, agent readiness) notify only when there is enough data and the change is outside the 95% intervals. With too little data (by default at least 3 answers per prompt × platform on each side, 20 for platform-wide alerts) the alert still shows on the page, labelled “Not enough data yet; no notification sent”; a change within normal variation is labelled “Within normal variation; no notification sent”. The same alert (same project, type and prompt or platform) is sent once per cooldown (72 hours by default). On Instant, once a project has had an alert email today, later alerts that day go into the next morning’s summary. All three numbers can be changed here. A wrong phone number or address in brand answers is a factual error, so it isn’t held back for data volume, but the cooldown and same-day merge still apply.

Platform-wide changes (for example, cited links per answer falling on one engine across all projects) do not send alerts. They show on the Workspace Platform-wide changes card and on a prompt's coverage trend, so you can tell a platform change from a brand problem.

Email language

Alert emails, digests, team invitations and other emails are sent in your account's interface language (nine languages). Change it under Settings → Preferences and later emails follow. A white-label agency's clients receive emails under the agency's brand.

Frequently asked questions

I get too many alert emails. Switch the project's frequency to Daily digest, or turn one alert type off.
