White label: deliver the platform under your own brand, domain and client accounts
White label for agencies and Enterprise: the Brand, Custom domain, Client accounts, Email and Reports tabs; which modules clients can use, what clients see, client-only project access (including the AI assistant and API & MCP), and the subscription it needs.
What white label does
White label lets you deliver the whole platform to clients under your own brand, domain and accounts. Clients see your company’s name, logo and colours in the app, on the sign-in page, in emails, reports and alerts. They don’t see Citadex, pricing, credits, the referral programme or the Citadex Help Center.
Who can use it
White label is for agencies and Enterprise. Open it from the user menu (bottom left) → White label; only agency accounts see it.
- Approved agencies need the agency subscription. Without it, any setting opens White label needs the agency subscription; click Activate agency subscription. Anything you’ve set up is kept.
- Other accounts see White label is for agencies and Enterprise, with Apply to become an agency and Contact us about Enterprise.
The page has five tabs: Brand, Custom domain, Client accounts, Email, Reports.
Brand
- 1
Switch it on
Turn on Turn on full-site white label. Your client accounts and custom domain then use this brand; your own sign-in on citadex.io is unchanged.
- 2
Add your brand
Brand name, Logo (light background), Logo (dark background), Browser tab icon (images under 350 KB) and Main colour.
- 3
Set the client help contact
Client help contact (replaces the Help Center and Contact us): an email address or a link. Contact support in the client’s AI assistant goes here too.
- 4
Footer and save
Fill in Footer text and click Save.
Custom domain
- Under Client address, enter a subdomain of your company domain, for example ai.yourdomain.com, and click Save domain.
- At your domain provider, add the CNAME record the page shows. If a TXT record is shown as well, add it too; it confirms the domain is yours.
- Click Check DNS. The status goes Not set → Waiting for DNS → Live; Needs attention tells you what to fix. It usually takes a few minutes to a few hours, and HTTPS turns on automatically.
Once live, links in client invitations and password-reset emails point to this domain, and you can still manage all clients on citadex.io. On this domain clients sign in with email and password; one-click Google sign-in is only offered on citadex.io.
Client accounts
Invite a client: + Invite client → Client email → pick at least one under Projects they can see → set Access to View only or Can edit prompts and content → Send invitation. The email goes out with your brand and domain.
- View only: sees all data and reports; can’t start scans or generate articles.
- Can edit prompts and content: can also change prompts and write content, using your account’s credits.
In the client list you can Edit, Resend or Remove, and use the Reports & alerts column to email each client project alerts, the weekly results digest and AI traffic alerts. Client accounts don’t use your team seats, and clients never see billing.
What clients can use: on the same tab, toggle the modules clients get: New Project, Prompt Library, Prompt Tracking, Citation Sources, Competitors, Brand Knowledge, Content Rules, Answer Assets, Content, AI Traffic, Revenue Attribution, Tools, Integrations, AI assistant, and API & MCP (off by default). Ticked modules appear in your clients’ sidebar; unticked ones are hidden and can’t be opened. The overview is always available. Always hidden from clients: team members, billing, credits and the referral programme.
- Sender name: the name clients see as the sender.
- Client replies go to: where client replies are delivered.
- Sending address: Our sending address (default), with your name as the sender.
The tab lists every email clients receive: client invitation, password reset, password changed, AI assistant weekly plan, and, for clients you switch on under Reports & alerts, project alerts, the weekly results digest and AI traffic alerts. All carry your logo and colours and no Citadex. A client only gets them for the projects assigned to them, and only when the same email is on for you.
Reports
The Reports tab covers reports you export or share; they use the brand from the Brand tab.
- Exported reports: Enable account white-label, Contact email, Website, and Remove “Powered by Citadex”.
- This project’s report: Report title, Cover note, Benchmark competitors (up to 3) and Report sections for the current project; Preview report ↗ shows the result.
When you create a results report or first diagnosis report under Prompt Tracking → Achievements, tick Use my brand (white label).
What clients see
- App, sign-in page, emails, exported and shared reports, alerts: your name, logo, colours and footer.
- Only the projects you assign; never your other clients.
- No pricing, billing, credits, referral programme, team settings or Citadex Help Center; help goes to your contact.
- AI assistant: reads only the client’s assigned projects and doesn’t mention plans, pricing, credits or the Help Center, nor API & MCP unless you turned it on.
- API & MCP: when on, clients can connect their own AI assistant, again limited to their assigned projects.
FAQ
What happens when the agency trial ends? Competitors, AI Traffic and Revenue Attribution pause and your data is kept; buying credits also needs the agency subscription. Activate it to continue.
Can a client see my other clients? No. A client sees only the projects assigned to them.
Do I see the white label when I sign in? No. You use citadex.io as usual; white label applies to client accounts and your custom domain.
